Stephen Bryenton, a loyal NAPA AUTO PARTS customer of three years, was awarded the opportunity to attend the race this weekend as a NAPA guest and Honorary Pit Crew Member for Rookie of the Year points leader Chase Elliott. Stephen worked on the West Coast for a number of years before moving his wife of 15 years, Joni, and his two daughters, Larissa and Emily, back home to be closer to his mother after she was diagnosed with cancer. He worked at various dealerships in town before a job opened at Williamsons Auto. The job turned into a wonderful opportunity as the owner Steve Williamson was ready to retire, allowing the Bryentons to take the plunge into business ownership. The family just opened the doors to their new shop in January 2016.
2016 has already been a successful year for the Bryenton family with their new endeavor and they continued to reap the rewards from their hard work this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway after being chosen as NAPA AUTO PARTS’ Honorary Pit Crew Member. As a part of the experience, Bryenton received a behind-the-scenes tour of the NAPA hauler, a private meet and greet at Chase’s coach with the young driver as well as having his name emblazoned on the NAPA AUTO PARTS Chevrolet SS. Bryenton was even able to climb atop the NAPA pit box alongside NAPA crew chief Alan Gustafson and the Hendrick Motorsports engineers for the New Hamsphire 301 race event.
How was your experience as NAPA’s Honorary Pit Crew Member?
"This is my first time ever at a NASCAR race. It was awesome. Everything was unbeilievable. Everything was new so I enjoyed it all. I would love to get this chance again."
