NAPA AUTO PARTS welcomed Ed Roberts to the NAPA family in February 2016 when Roberts transitioned over his two auto parts stores and converted his repair shop to NAPA AutoCare. He has found success with the NAPA brand professionally and this weekend NAPA was able to give back to Roberts by inviting him to the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway where he was given the opportunity to be NAPA’s Honorary Pit Crew Member for NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Chase Elliott.
As a part of the experience, Roberts received a behind-the-scenes tour of the NAPA hauler, a private meet and greet at Chase’s coach with the 20-year-old driver as well as having his name emblazoned on the NAPA AUTO PARTS Chevrolet SS. Roberts was even able to climb atop the NAPA pit box alongside NAPA crew chief Alan Gustafson, Mr. Hendrick and the Hendrick Motorsports engineers for the Brickyard 400.
How was your experience as NAPA’s Honorary Pit Crew Member?
"This experience was incredible. It was so cool to be part of it and to see my name on the car. One of the coolest experiences was to see my son sitting on the pit box with not just the team but with Mr. H himself. Thank for you the great hospitality and the awesome team shirt. Thank you for a great time!”
