James Clay – owner of Clay’s Service Center – has been a NAPA AUTO PARTS customer for over 30 years. Clay is a third-generation owner of the auto care center in addition to being an avid NAPA fan. He has been fortunate to attend several NAPA AUTO PARTS trips including a NASCAR race shop tour in North Carolina and a Baja race in Mexico among others due to his brand loyalty. In addition to being a successful business owner, Clay is a father of two and grandfather of three alongside his wife of 35 years, Roxanne.
This weekend in Long Pond, Pennsylvania, Clay’s Service Center adorned the quarter panels of rookie sensation Chase Elliott’s No. 24 NAPA AUTO PARTS Chevrolet SS to commend Clay for his business with the auto parts company. As a part of the experience, Clay received a behind-the-scenes tour of the NAPA hauler as well as a private meet and greet with the 20-year-old driver before Elliott tackled the “Tricky Triangle”. Due to rain postponing the race event, Clay was unable to return to Pocono Raceway for racing action. However, he tuned in on NBCSN as the Clay’s Service Center name made it’s race debut on the side of Elliott’s Chevrolet.
How was your experience as NAPA’s Honorary Pit Crew Member?
"My wife and I really enjoyed our day even though we did not get to see the race. We’re big fans of NASCAR and have been to a lot of races, but we got to see some really neat things and learned a lot more about what the team does. Thank you for everything today!”
